Women’s Wrestling - Snyder Shines at Tiffin Open
The women’s team made their season debut at the Tiffin Open on Nov. 2, where Julia Snyder stole the spotlight, finishing in fifth place in the 110 weight class. Snyder’s performance was marked by two strong early wins, one by technical fall and another by pin. Although she faced challenges in the middle rounds, her determination led her to secure a final win by fall at 1:49, earning her first collegiate career placement. Up next, the women will compete in the Adrian Invitational on Nov. 10.
Men’s Wrestling - Warriors Dominate Midway in Season Opener
On the men’s side, the Warriors displayed a commanding performance in their season opener against Midway University, securing a 35-9 victory. The match saw standout performances from Cristian Rojas, Jager Kwiatkowski, and Martin Jacobo, each winning by fall. Notably, team captain Jager Kwiatkowski demonstrated grit by overcoming a 12-point deficit to pin his opponent. With early victories in the first five rounds, the Warriors set the tone for a successful meet. Their next challenge will be against Cornerstone in a WHAC dual at Garth Pleasant Arena on Nov. 13.
